“It is enough for some figure to be like some thing, for the obvious banality that has been repeated a thousand times to creep into it, which is nevertheless dumb. What you see, that is the thing. The work is restored to the visible that surrounds it, where it itself creates the invisible that is similar to it. The poetry that the images of Dalibor Stosic convey must be replaced by a literal reading of them. It is not essential that the world shows, rather, what it suggests. We are forced to a reconstruction of language.”
Gilbert Perlein, Director of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice, monograph Dalibor Stosic
